FERNS OF A FEATHER - The flight of fern through the seasons glides silently along the forest floor. Within their primal nature is intrigue that enchants fossil and forest. Nature has given them a unique beauty within a land of flowering plants and moss.
RIVER - The river voices are often in words misunderstood, ancient languages no longer spoken, yet are always comforting to those that will listen.
LIFE IS TOUGH - On the beautiful beach of Toleak Point the sun rises and sets. Waves leave their mark upon the sand and the sea stacks provide a home. Every day this raccoon walks the tightrope of logs surviving the hardships amongst this paradise. He’s lost half his tail and remembers the battle scars of life. Yet every day this raccoon walks the tightrope of logs…. He’s quite inspirational to me, nature always is.
ROCKS OF CHANGE - At times my emotions are as a rock, changing imperceptibly with each passing wave. At other times they are churning like waves crashing against the rocks seemingly uncontrollable. The elegance is in the change both rock and wave create within each other, in their harmony.
FLOWERS OF ICE - In its season, when conditions are right, ice blossoms as a flower. Soon to trade complex patterns and offer itself to quench the thirst of nature. However, for this moment, those who hesitate and notice are filled with wonder.
TRANSITION - Within all creation lies a transition, the perpetual cycle. Where in the shadows we find comfort and in the light we find hope.
NEVER ALONE - Standing in a field warmed by the sun. We are never alone if awakened to the moment and not wanting.
DISTANCE RIGHT HERE - I once thought the universe was so far away and the earth a large expanse. Nature is inside of me and I inside of nature. The universe is no longer far away and the earth is preciously small.
HORIZONS - It’s easier to fear horizons than to see the beauty of where we are standing…
FALLING UP - I was falling... Where neither the light nor the darkness dared to go. As I fell I realized a peaceful place, that place we all seek to find. It was not in the hells below nor in the heavens above. It was just falling ...falling up.
